How to get to Zaragoza ?

Some 300 Km separate Zaragoza from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.

Since the introduction of the High Speed Train (AVE and ALTARIA) the best and cheapest way to travel to Zaragoza is to go by plane to Madrid or Barcelona and continue the journey by train. Timetable and prices are available at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html

Madrid Airport to Railway station Atocha:
From the airport Madrid "Barajas" take the Metro Line 8 to "Nuevos Ministerios" (4 stops),
Alternative 1: Change to Line 10 and go to "Tribunal" (3 stops), then to Atocha Renfe using Line 1 (6 stops)
Alternative 2: Change to an urban train (cercanias) to Atocha Renfe (estacion)

Barcelona Airport to Railway station Barcelona-Sants:
From the airport Barcelona the train (RENFE) Line C1 takes you directly to the train station Barcelona-Sants (a single ticket to Sants Station costs 2.40 Euros) where you may change to the train to Zaragoza (preferably the high speed train ALTARIA)

At present there are regular flights from Frankfurt and internal flights from Madrid and Barcelona as well.
